Appellate Filing Fee Increase Effective December 1, 2013
Effective December 1, 2013, the appellate filing fee — referred to as the "docketing fee" in the Miscellaneous Fee Schedule — was increased from $450 to $500. The $5 filing fee for a notice of appeal under 28 U.S.C. § 1917 will remain the same. Accordingly, upon filing a notice of appeal in the BAP or district court, appellants are now required to pay the clerk of the BAP or the clerk of the district court a combined fee of $505. The fees related to a direct appeal were not increased.
