To ensure that we "reach a wide audience of qualified applicants," as prescribed by Judicial Conference regulations governing the selection, appointment, and reappointment of bankruptcy judges, the First Circuit Court of Appeals will accept additional applications through January 31, 2019 for a bankruptcy judge position for the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Massachusetts in Boston.  Simultaneously, the Bankruptcy Merit Selection Panel will evaluate the applications for this position that have been received to date.  The Bankruptcy Merit Selection Panel will consider additional applications on a rolling basis.  Attorneys with broad or specialized litigation or commercial experience are encouraged to apply, whether or not such experience is in bankruptcy law.  Interested applicants may obtain an application from the Circuit Executive's Office, from the Bankruptcy Court Clerk for the District of Massachusetts, or by accessing the Court of Appeals' website at www.ca1.uscourts.gov.  The term of office is 14 years and the current salary is $191,360.  Applications are to be received in the Circuit Executive's Office no later than January 31, 2019.  EOE.
